Hope brings Peace
Update on our Dec. 22nd
deadline.
In our last post "A Christmas Miracle" we revealed that we
needed a miracle and that our hearts were aching.
needed a miracle and that our hearts were aching.
We had
been told that our case for Kinsman and Miralette in the Democratic Republic of the Congo was not moving the
way it should and that is was possible that the case
would never move forward.
Our lawyer
was considering ending the case all together.
This would have meant that Kinsman and Miralette
would possibly never come home to us.
On Friday though, we received positive news and
we are rejoicing for the way
God has worked
and we give him all of the glory!
The Miracle:
A
living relative of Kinsman and Miralette has been found
and they are
willing to sign consent for the adoption!
This does
not mean that our case will move faster but...
Our lawyer
has said she has “Renewed
HOPE” for our case and she is still going to proceed forward!
"Wait what?"
Did I really just read those words in her email?
Did she
really just say “HOPE” like as in
her
HOPE was broken but now it is
renewed?!?!?!?!
Praise the LORD!
JOY brings Restored HOPE!
And hope
does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by
the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. ~ Romans 5:5
We want to
always be honest with everyone
because we told the Lord from the
beginning
that we
would share life stories with others.
The stories of how God has worked
and continues to work our lives.
The stories of how God has worked
and continues to work our lives.
It
is our prayer that in doing so
others
will know him more.
Last week
was extremely difficult for us
and for our whole family.
While our
family did choose JOY in the midst
of the pain,
this does
not mean that everything was perfect
and we were not hurting.
It does
not mean that there were not times
we both broke down crying.
It does not mean we walked around singing and dancing all week.
There were tough hours and days.
The week
was complete with ups and downs and even on the day we received the good
news...
it was
followed by potentially terrible news...
thankfully though this news turned out to be rumor.
This seems
to pretty much sum up our last 5 months.
Up and
Down, down a little farther...
then up…
then down… then up again… only to fall down again…
As you can
imagine it has been quite exhausting.
We are
learning that there is only
one thing that is
constant in our lives.
One person
that will keep us afloat
through all of these ups and downs.
The one who gives us
PEACE.
Jesus!
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. ~ Romans 15:13
Because no
matter what happens we know his promise is true.
Come evil, suffering and pain,
He will work it
for the glory of His kingdom.
A kingdom that is here and
yet is coming fully...
it is being formed through his people.
This is the peace of Jesus Christ!
(Romans 8)
We are thankful for the PEACE he has given us
even in the
middle of battles like these.
We are also thankful for the way the
Holy Spirit
continues to transform our lives each day.
We are
thankful that in the midst of all of the pain,
our faith can grow and
we can know
our heavenly Father more.
When you choose Faith and JOY in all things, you are given HOPE,
and with HOPE you are given PEACE.
Peace in
all circumstances of life.
Because
you know where your true JOY comes from.
Our God has performed a miracle and though we still have a long way to go. We are now one step closer to
bringing Kinsman and
Miralette home!
We will Praise him for this
miracle!
To God Be The Glory!!
Thank you to every one of you who have been praying and for those who have reached out with kind words.
We are so thankful to all of you
who have called or texted,
sent a message, or come to
our house to pray with us.
You have joined us in fighting this battle
and are a part of our story to bring Kinsman and Miralette home.
We feel incredibley blessed by all of you.
You have joined us in fighting this battle
and are a part of our story to bring Kinsman and Miralette home.
We feel incredibley blessed by all of you.
Be strong
and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD.
Psalm 31:24
